For the 45Colt, depends on how hot you want to load them...the powders in the medium-slow area may be worth a try. Herco, N350, N344, or N347 (those Vihtavauri powders may not be easy to find). AA 5744 works for the Colt and 45-70. It won't make big loads in the rifle case but it does all I need.I did have an old Hornady manual about 30 years ago that listed 4320 for .45-70. I've gotten as good results with Rel7 and 5744. They will all shoot 1moa off a good rest.The only powder I have loaded in the 45-70 is H 322, it gives excellent speed and accuracy. I can push the Nosler 300 gr partition to 2200 fps and the Remington 405 gr SP to 1840 fps from my 1895 Guide gun with sub MOA accuracy. vito and michael Steve - H335 is a pretty poor choice to load .45-70 with. H-335 is better suited to .223 and similar use. For those 405 grain bullets, I'd strongly suggest IMR-3031.
